Instructions provided are for residents who live within the municipal boundaries of the Town of St. John, Indiana.
Questions regarding your license after the application process should be directed to the State Police Firearms Licensing Section.
- Submit your application online to the Indiana State Police by clicking here: ONLINE APPLICATION FOR HANDGUN LICENSE
- After completing your online registration, you will pay the State Portion of the application fee and schedule an appointment with IdentoGO / IDEMIA for fingerprinting.
- After you complete the fingerprinting process, you will need to bring your receipt from IdentoGO / IDEMIA to the St. John Police Department.
Your application process is not complete until the above steps are completed. The estimated time to receive your license using this option is approximately 4 weeks.
