- Gobble and Grub Festival
Take a night off from cooking and join us for the Gobble and Grub Festival. Enjoy a delicious evening filled with small bites from local restaurants and sweet treats from dessert vendors, all available for purchase. Gather your friends and family, come hungry! More details to follow.

- The Town of St. John is proud to host our 22nd Annual “Christmas in the Park” located at Prairie West Park along 93rd Avenue. For a donation of $110 your business, organization, club, church, school, family, etc. can sponsor a tree to decorate along the Tree Walk. The possibilities are endless so join in the fun to kick off the Holiday Season. There are only 100 trees available so act fast before they are sold out! You will be included in our Facebook Sponsor Spotlight where your organization will be individually highlighted for your participation in this event.
Each tree is approximately 6′ in height and includes standard white lights already attached. We will leave the decorating up to you so be as creative as you’d like but keep in mind this is outdoors and decorations must be environmentally friendly. The Town reserves the right to remove trees that use offensive language and/or take away from the festivities. Prizes will be awarded for the 3 most creative trees.
- Payment must be received no later than Monday, November 2, 2026.
- Participants will receive an email when the trees are available to decorate. Please have your trees decorated by Thursday, November 26, 2026.
- Opening Night is Friday, November 27, 2026. Tree lighting is at 7 PM.
- Trees will be on display through January 1, 2027. All decorations must be removed by January 6th so Public Works can dispose of the trees.
We kindly ask for your participation so we can continue to enjoy these types of
community events for our families. Complete the Tree Sponsor Form and return it to the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office.

- Trick-or-Treat Hours: St. John Trick or Treat hours are Saturday, October 31st from 5 – 7 PM. Please drive slowly in neighborhoods and watch for children. Our Police Officers will be patrolling to help keep our children safe too. Happy Halloween!!

Shred Day
St. John residents are invited to a free, on-site document shredding day.
- No need to remove staples or paper clips
- Team members will be on-site to help with heavy boxes
- “Park and watch” spots will be available if you’d like to see your documents shredded
- Two shredding trucks will be on-site to keep things moving
- We cannot dispose of any boxes, bags, bins, etc.

*A quick tip for planning your visit: 9:00 AM is usually our busiest time, and lines can back up through the parking lot. Things tend to move much faster after 10:00 AM, so arriving a little later may mean a shorter wait. We can’t wait to see you there!

Join us for a morning off fun at Boo Bash! Bring out the family and enjoy pumpkin train rides, trunk or treat, pumpkin decorating, a costume parade, and more! This event will make for the perfect fall morning!
