CPR Classes

When: The second Saturday of every month.
Time: 8:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. (noon)
Please arrive at 7:45am the day of the course.


Cost: $45.00 donation made payable the day of the class to the St. John Volunteer Fire Department via cash, check, or money order.


Where: St. John Public Safety Building, lower level training room
11033 W. 93rd Ave. St. John, IN 46373
Please park in the North side parking lot off of W 93rd Avenue. Enter through the double glass doors and go down stairs.
Minimum class size 10 students, Maximum 15 students
(Special consideration for larger class if enough notice is given)
Student workbooks are available for purchase for $20.00 or free rental prior to the class.

  2. Search training sites additional nearby classes on the American Heart Association website. Also consider St. John Fire Department future open class rosters.
  3. Take the online CPR class for BLS on the American Heart Association website. The current cost is $32.50. Attend a practical test out session at the St. John Fire Department preferably at 10:30 AM on the day of the monthly scheduled class. The student will be added to the roster if the online BLS course completion certificate is presented. A $45 donation will be requested at the time of the skills test.

Courses offered: American Heart Association:

  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, but anyone seeking certification is welcome
  • Basic Life Support training reinforces healthcare professionals’ understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, basic steps of performing CPR, relieving choking, and using an AED; and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival.

  3. You will have to apply some filters before signing up
    • select course and check BLS
    • Select time and check morning.
    • select class date (2nd Saturday of every month).
    • select class format and check classroom.
    • Click apply at bottom of page.
    • Click BLS provider box to enroll now.
