Position Summary:
The Recreation Attendant is responsible for overseeing the community center after facility rentals, ensuring the building is secure, clean, and reset for future use. This role plays a key part in maintaining a welcoming and well-organized environment for all guests and renters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Close the community center following rental events, including securing all doors, windows, and lights
- Conduct post-rental inspections to ensure renters have complied with all terms outlined in their rental agreement
- Ensure the facility is clean and orderly, including floors, restrooms, and common areas
- Reset rooms by returning tables, chairs, and equipment to their proper locations
- Report any damages, maintenance needs, or policy violations to the Recreation and Program Director
- Provide general assistance to renters as needed during closing procedures
- Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, facilities, or recreation settings is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to enforce policies professionally and courteously
Working Conditions:
Indoor work environment with occasional exposure to cleaning supplies
Primarily evening and weekend hours
