Republic Services is still working its way through town to retrieve the cans they will take. However, earlier this week, we learned that Republic will not pick up cans bearing the St. John logo, which some residents have. Our new service provider, GMI, has agreed to collect these cans, but it will take some time. GMI must assign a crew with a truck and trailer to travel throughout town to retrieve them.
If you have a can with the St. John logo, you have two options:
1. Keep it: You are welcome to keep the can if you would like.
2. Leave it at the curb: GMI will collect it as they work through town.
If you would like GMI to take your can, we recommend placing a note on it that says “PLEASE TAKE” so there is no confusion about whether you wish to keep it.
