Sanitary District Meeting Minutes 2017

1. CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order at 6:20 p.m. with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.

2. ROLL CALL.

In attendance were Frank Bradtke, Patricia Sims-Smierciak, Kenneth Gembala, Rob Kmetz, Richard Setlak and Michael Forbes. Absent Steve Kil, Town Manager and David Austgen, Town Attorney.

3. ELECTION OF OFFICERS

President - Mr. Setlak nominated Mr. Bradtke for President. Ms. Sims-Smerciak seconded. Mr. Kmetz so moved. Motion carried.

Vice President – Mr. Setlak nominated Ms. Sims-Smierciak for Vice President. Seconded by Mr. Kmetz. Motion carried.

4. APPROVE OR AMEND THE MINUTES

Mr. Bradtke entertained a motion to approve the November 22, 2016 meeting minutes. Mr. Setlak so moved. Seconded by Ms. Sims-Smerciak. Motion carried.

5. PAYMENT OF BILLS

Mr. Bradtke entertained a motion to approve the January bills in the amount of $2,298.71. Mr. Gembala so moved. Ms. Sims-Smerciak seconded. Motion carried.

Ms. Smierciak entertained a motion to approve docket 02/28/17 in the amount of $22,084.11. Mr. Gembala so moved. Seconded by Mr. Setlak. Motion carried.

Ms. Smierciak entertained a motion to approve payment of bills in the amount of $18,742.62. Mr. Gembala so moved. Seconded by Mr. Setlak. Motion carried.

Ms. Smierciak reported that the Sanitary Board received a Preliminary Financial Report from Cender and Company dated June 5, 2017. Any questions regarding the report will be addressed at the next meeting.

It was also reported that the lift stations are 98% complete and all the landscaping for the yards is also complete.

Mr. Gembala requested that we have the Town Council have the attorney’s render an opinion concerning duplication of paying for services by Cender and Umbaugh & Associates.

Mr. Kil reported that Lift Station 1 is finished. The fence will be up shortly. Paving will be completed in the spring.
